The St. Philip Be-News-Zi is a monthly newsletter of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, published for the purpose of providing parishioners with up-to-date information on upcoming, parish-wide events and ministry activities; liturgical celebrations; opportunities for on-going religious education, and more.  The Be-News-Zi also includes articles of a spiritual nature and celebrates the warmth and spirit of our parish family through pictorial coverage of past events.

Articles for the Be-News-Zi may be submitted by parishioners, staff members and guest writers and must be submitted in writing (typed).  Please note the following restrictions:

  • The deadline for submitting articles for consideration in The Be-News-Zi is the 5th of each month, for publication the following month (e.g., articles for the November Be-News-Zi must be received no later than October 5th).  Articles received after the deadline will have a lower priority than those received on time.
  • Articles may be mailed to the church, brought to the Parish Office, or e-mailed to the attention of the Be-News-Zi Editor at:
  • Each article submitted for consideration will be published as approved by the Pastor and on a space-available basis.  Since we are limited in space, articles (including photos), should be no longer than one column, or ½ page.
  • Articles should be well written, must be accurate, and may be edited if necessary by the Editor and/or Pastor.  All submitted articles must contain the name of the author or contact person.
  • Photos of children/teens must follow Archdiocesan Social Media guidelines.
  • Submitted photos must be clear and sent as separate attachments in JPEG format, so that they can be edited, enhanced and published in articles using Microsoft Office Publisher.
